THE CENTER:
The Riverside Endoscopy Center is a Medicare certified,
freestanding center. The facility features state-of-the-art
equipment and experienced, specialized staff who provide
diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to treat digestive
disorders. Patients receive highly personalized care and
may undergo any of the following services:
• Colonoscopy
• Upper Endoscopy (EGD)
• Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
A STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE
Our physicians are highly experienced in their field and our
nurses are trained in gastrointestinal nursing. We offer
conscious sedation that keeps patients comfortable during
most procedures. This allows prompt recovery and avoids the
risk of general anesthesia. All of our staff are trained in Basic
Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life
Support (ACLS); transfer procedures are in place with
local hospitals in case of emergency.
CONTINUOUS QUALITY IMPROVEMENT
The continuous quality improvement program evaluates our
clinical care utilizing feedback from our patients. You will
have the opportunity to complete an evaluation form upon
completion of your appointment. This information will
help us serve you better in the future.
UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA COLORECTAL
RESIDENCY TRAINING PROGRAM
The University of Minnesota has an accredited training
program in the specialty of colon and rectal surgery. It is
not uncommon for residents to be present in the clinic.
These resident are general surgeons who are in training to
obtain specialized skills in colon and rectal surgery. If you
prefer not to have a resident present, please inform the
receptionist.
